Overview of Certification Categories and Functions
Real change must come from an authentic place inside a person or community. It must begin at the internal level, where individuals make the conscious decision to use their natural gifts and talents to improve the lives of the people they are destined to serve. That is why the #PersonalPriesthood movement is designed for the men and women who are the heart and soul of Orisa Lifestyle, the sincere devotees.
The Movement is all about helping sincere devotees achieve their life goals through Sacred Service, which is one of three defining principles of personal priesthood, along with Self Discovery and Personal Rituals. Diligent study empowers faith and conviction, which manifests through Sacred Service.
The Personal Priesthood certificate empowers you to enhance your capacity for personal, interpersonal, and collective exploration of Orisa Lifestyle. The certificate prepares you to identify and analyze "The Thread of Life" that unifies all paths of spiritual development. Kárìn kápọ̀ yíyẹ ní í yẹni. To walk as (or operate in) a team, brings honor to one. With a strong team of committed, enthusiastic, optimistic, and resourceful Catalysts, the success of the Movement is all but assured. Without a strong team, success is all but unattainable. They usually know people across an array of social, cultural, professional, and economic circles, and make a habit of introducing people who work or live in different circles. Catalysts are people with a special gift for bringing the world together.
Catalysts are also persuaders and influencers. You make good use of the art of storytelling and persuasion. Catalysts are naturally charismatic people with powerful negotiation skills. Catalysts tend to have a way of saying things in a way that makes others want to agree with you. Not only that, you love the chase and enjoy getting someone to agree with you or accept your position. The Catalyst's role can be represented by the following four words: Facilitate, Educate, Motivate, Innovate.
Facilitate
Educate
Educating people means showing them how to do something, but it also means helping them to develop, to seek new insights about themselves and the world they live in. How successful you are in this task will depend on two things: your knowledge of the subject and your ability to communicate it. It’s important that you become familiar with the information included in the Personal Priesthood Certification reader, including:
Motivate
With your words and your enthusiasm, you will inspire many devotees and students to take positive actions. Even more important than the words you actually use is how you communicate your passion for Personal Priesthood. The more you allow your excitement to radiate out to others, the more people will want to jump on board. Your fellow students, friends and family will see how important Personal Priesthood is to you, how empowering it can be to become certified in Personal Priesthood, and how gratifying it is to play a role in serving something greater than yourself. And when they get passionate about the Movement and make positive changes for Personal Priesthood in their lives, they will “pass it on” themselves.
Innovate
Although you have been given a basic framework for this Movement, the strategy for orienting and enrolling the hundreds of students in your circle of influence is entirely yours to create. You and your fellow Catalysts are the experts on your communities and the people who live and work there. Take time to reflect on how to tailor the Movement to fit the needs of your people. Work together to come up with something innovative-something new and fresh that will really generate electricity and excitement among the membership. Get as many people involved as you can. Your ability to innovate is essential when it comes to such things as:

The Ijinle serves as the focal point for Practitioners to study principles of Orisa Lifestyle and how to apply them in everyday life.
Ijinle Circles are usually held on a monthly basis, and the vast majority are held in the homes of Practitioners who make them available for this purpose. They give people the opportunity to develop the kind of relationships that are increasingly rare in contemporary urban environments where people may live for years as neighbors without developing any personal connection.
The sharing of faith experiences—the transformation in people’s lives realized through Personal Priesthood —is a central element of Ijinle Circles. There is perhaps nothing more heartening for people struggling with problems than the example of others who have successfully confronted and overcome their own challenges.
As a Certified Personal Priesthood Counselor, you have the responsibility and privilege of being a resource to your Senior Advisors and Catalysts. You must be there to assist them — they will look to you as a facilitator and an informational resource, as well as for general support. You will be the one who knows how to effectively harness the energy surrounding the Movement at the Catalyst and Senior Advisor levels.
